Reading Time: 3 minutes

The best thing about Lebanon is its nature. Between its landscapes and its breathtaking views, you are all set for a great summer 2021 (well… nature-wise at least). We have gathered a list of places to visit whether you’re a tourist or a local resident trying to make the most of your #StaycationLebanon this summer.

1- Belouh Balaa

You’ve probably seen Belouh Balaa pictures all over social media already, but trust me the pictures don’t do justice to the view. If you’re looking for a place to hike or even just wander around, this is it!

2- Felougha

Felougha is a village situated in Mount Lebanon. It is known for its waters sources and green hills. It’s definitely your go-to village for a chill day in a friendly environment.

3- Batroun

Batroun is perfect for a getaway by the sea. From beach to local tourism, good food and a vibrant nightlife, you’re all set! Make sure to visit the Phoenician wall (because roots and everything), and Our Lady of the Sea which has a breathtaking view.

4- Qornit el sawda

This is the highest point not only in Lebanon, but in the Levant as well. If you need to disconnect and take a breath of fresh air, I’d most definitely recommend this spot.

5- Baalbek

Baalbek is an ancient Phoenician city located in Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley, about 67 km northeast of Beirut. It’s a real gem that is listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Site.

6- Chouen

Fancy a hike in nature? Or even a date à la Adam and Eve in the middle of nowhere? Chouen is your go-to place for a chill day by the river.

7- Jbeil

Did you know Jbeil is one of the oldest cities in the world? A day spent in Jbeil is always a day well spent. You can start off by heading to the beach for a tan, then stroll in the old streets, visit the souk and enjoy a drink with a view at night.

8- Ouyoun orghoch

One more perfect spot for those who want to hike and/or chill in the middle of nowhere. You get a view and you get fresh air which is practically all you need to fill yourself up with positive energy.

9- Qannoubine

Qannoubine is your go-to place if you’re down for a hike. If not, you can just book a tour and discover the small towns surrounding the valley. Totally worth it!

10- Naqoura

Naqoura is a small city in southern Lebanon. If you fancy a swim in crystal clear water, hit the beach over there. You won’t regret it!
